Eagles soar to win against Silverdale

The Collegedale Academy golf team beat Silverdale Baptist Academy’s Silverdale Seahawks at the Brainerd Golf Course on August 13.  The Eagles beat the Seahawks with a score of 172 to 185.
CA junior, Brady Tull, was the medalist with a score of 40.  Fellow junior, Skyelor Black, and newcomer – freshman Carter Miller – stepped up for the Eagles shooting 43 and 44 respectively. They played out of the fifth and sixth spot on the team.  Junior Thomas Hayes rounded out the top four scores with a 45 to end the day.
Coach Nafie had this to say about the win, “It was a good win.  Brady [Tull] had a nice round, and it was nice to have a young player [Carter Miller] do well in his first game.”

The Eagles displayed that they are getting closer to scoring in the 160s, as Coach Nafie believes they can.  They seem to be on the way to a respectable season. In three full matches the Eagles have won two twice, and they led in one match that was cancelled.  The next match is on Monday, August 19, against Boyd Buchanan.  The match will be held at the Bear Trace Golf Course.
