Collegedale Academy’s Echolier and Valley Echo staffs attended the Tennessee High School Press Association’s Student Media Workshop at Lipscomb University on Friday, October 16.

At the keynote session, presented by Mary Beth Tinker from the landmark 1969 Supreme Court case Tinker vs. Des Moines, sophomore Devin Vaudreuil was presented with a T-shirt for knowing one of the First Amendment rights.

After the keynote session, students attended three sessions from a variety of options in which they honed their journalism skills.
