Cameron Wilcox “Sews Love”

For the month of October, Collegedale Academy’s character trait was “Person Sewing Love,” or PSL. This award was meant for someone who shows love to those around them in both simple and grand ways. Cameron Wilcox, senior, won the award and wholly possesses those characteristics wholly.

When asked about winning the award he said, “I’m glad people saw that I ‘sew love.’ One of my goals is to make people smile and be happy. It makes me smile if other people are smiling.” Anyone who knows Cameron knows that this is true.

Cameron says that his best advice to try and “sew love” is to, “Give a smile or hello to somebody. Simple acts of kindness can really change someone’s day for the better.”

We should all try to show kindness and love to the people around us. John 13:34-35 says, “Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples— when they see the love you have for each other” (MSG).
