This season, like the ones before it, brought us many good well- played games as well as a few which could have been better.
Collegedale Academy’s girl’s volleyball team has been growing better and getting stronger as the season passes and it shows. Every game played shows growth and development in every single player. Where in previous seasons games would only last until three sets, now they are going up to four or five sets. A perfect and notable example of this growth is in the game played against Notre Dame High School. Notre Dame’s team is usually a strong one and on multiple occasions has been ranked #1 in our district. Despite all of this our players were ready to play their absolute best and give Notre Dame a battle, which they did.
Despite our loss, our team took them all the way to five sets, something to be truly proud of. The players were all focused and working together giving all of their best, bringing us a game to remember. It is very well known in the school, our relations with Georgia Cumberland Academy. And this year, like the years before, CA’s game vs GCA was our biggest game. The gymnasium fills with fans of both teams, who show and display their support for their teams, cheering them on, bringing
us an intense and exciting atmosphere both home and away. This year, Collegedale Academy came out victorious. Fans have many home games to look forward to this upcoming winter season.
