At Collegedale Academy, things are always changing. This year, we have a new art teacher. Mr. Williams teaches Art Appreciation, Sculpture, and Drawing and Digital Art. Here are some fun facts you may not know about Mr. Williams.

1. Mr. Williams was born in Asheville, North Carolina and grew up there. He moved to Cleveland, Tennessee, seven years ago, and he has lived there ever since.
2. He is the youngest of four children. He has two older sisters and one older brother.
3. His favorite Bible passage is 2 Samuel 22, which is a song of praise by David.
4. Mr. Williams enjoys pirate movies.
5. Thai food is his favorite cuisine.
6. He has many hobbies, and given that he’s the art teacher, it’s no surprise that some of his hobbies are creative, like making jewelry for his wife.
7. Mr. Williams likes listening to music. He likes indie rock and alternative Christian music, and his favorite band is Colony House.
8. He attended Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
9. If he wasn’t a teacher, he would be doing freelance design and animation.
10. When he was about four years old, he almost got lost at the beach. He was returned to his mother by a lady who vanished soon after he was safe.
