Your Guide to Birthday Freebies

Birthdays. Everyone has one, and people celebrate them in all sorts of different ways. My personal favorite way of celebrating is going on a birthday freebie trip with a few friends. A birthday freebie is when a store or restaurant offers free rewards or products to people on their birthday. What is more fun than getting free stuff all day long? Some of these establishments have special requirements, such as being signed up for their rewards program, having an account at least one month before your birthday, or making one purchase during the year before your birthday. If you have never heard of a birthday freebie, or you want to know how and where you can stop to get food, clothes, and more for free, keep reading along!

The first two places on the list is Starbucks, which offers any free birthday drink to anyone signed up to be a member on the mobile app. Being a member is free, and you can earn points every time you purchase something at the store. At Dunkin, you earn a free drink during your birthday week and there are no other requirements. At Starbucks however, you must get the drink on your actual day of birth, and you must make one purchase through your account in the year before your birthday.

The next stop is Firehouse Subs, where you can get a free 6-inch sub of your choice on your birthday. The only requirement is that you have to have the mobile app and an account. A free sub is great for some extra energy to get you through a full day of shopping.

After lunch, there are plenty of shops in the mall that offer freebies or special deals. Signing up for the mobile app at Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and making an account online with email subscription at Baskin Robbins gets you some free snacks on the way. Next, check out Altar’d State for 50% off one item in the store. All you have to do is sign up for rewards via email, and they will send you a confirmation email with your coupon attached. Next you can hit up American Eagle, which offers 15% off of your purchase if you are signed up for rewards emails as well. Sephora is down the hall, which provided members of the rewards program with different options of free mini-sized kits from high end brands during member’s birthday month. And to end the fun at the mall, Bath and Body Works offers a free product up to $8.95 in price to their rewards members.

Stop at Ulta Beauty for a free birthday gift during your birth month if you are a member for a special gift like a sample kit or the Ulta gift of the month. If you are getting hungry again at this time, Nothing Bundt Cakes gives email rewards members a free mini bundt cake of their choice on their birthday. For some more sweet treats, Crumbl offers one free cookie to members with the mobile app during their birthday week, and Scooter’s Coffee offers a free birthday drink to members who have had an account longer than a week before their birthday and have made one transaction prior.

So, if you are stumped for birthday plans, or just want to have some free fun with your friends, going on a freebie trip is a cheap and memorable way to celebrate another year of life.
