On Friday, September 1, the halls of Collegedale Academy were dominated by one color: red. Collegedale Academy had a Redout day in order to help of the victims of hurricane Harvey. Through the generous donations of students, faculty, and staff we were able to raise more than $1,500!

“Personally I really like wearing jeans so this is the best thing ever . . . even if we’re all in jeans we’re all kinda more unified in a way . . . and also a lot of times people feel more confident in clothes that look good on them and aren’t literally exactly the same,” Junior Kristen Clark said. “It’s[collecting money for Hurrricane Harvey victims] really going to help people. I have a lot of friends down there, so it’s really nice to help them out,” Senior Ethan Dickinson said.
