Trusting God’s perfect timing

A few nights ago, I pulled up biblegateway.com on my phone and listened to Esther 4 through my headphones.

The chapter was about Esther learning she would have to approach the King in order to save her people.

Throughout the chapter, Esther seemed very nervous, knowing she may be killed for approaching the King uninvited.

Mordecai sends her a message basically saying, “Hey, don’t think getting out of this will save you. Your life is at risk along with all your people.”

Mordecai ends his message by saying, “Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this.”

Mordecai’s last line makes me think about God’s timing.

Often, I feel as if I don’t understand what God is doing in my life. Sometimes, I even find myself doubting that He is even doing any good at all. I can’t help but think Esther felt the same way as she was taken from her home and forced to be Queen.

Reading this story makes me realize that God truly has a plan and a time for everything.

Just like God used Esther, He uses us in His perfect plans. Even though his timing is hard to understand sometimes, He has an amazing way of making everything work out for the good. Our job is to simply trust and patiently wait in order to see the full picture that He is painting in our lives.
