10 things students don’t know about their teachers: Steve Blackburn
- He was five feet tall until his junior year of academy.
- He has traveled to all 50 states.
- HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! (Grew up in Washington D.C. . . . it’s not an option!)
- First academy jobs were in the cafeteria and as a janitor.
- Was in a drama production of The Hobbit in first grade and was mortified to have to wear his sister’s tights!
- Fourth generation to volunteer as a church treasurer.
- Sings, plays piano and flute (REALLY wanted to be in a fife and drum corp., hence the flute/piccolo).
- Permed his hair once (it WAS the 70’s after all . . .).
- Is a Pathfinder Master Guide.
- Enjoys football, softball, golf, skiing, boating, camping . . . pretty much anything outside!
