On Monday, January 13th, students heard CA’s principal, Mr. Baldwin, announce in the intercom, “Remember, there’s free pizza in my office for all students who earned a 4.0 last semester.” The following day, a similar announcement was made, except this time students with a 3.0-3.9 GPA were presented with an assortment of doughnuts.
“The Leadership Team wanted to recognize our outstanding students for their accomplishments, says Mr. Baldwin, “because we don’t think they get recognized enough.” Senior Jordan Madrigal who earned free pizza had this to say, “I like this!”
Junior Brady Tull says, “I think it’s awesome, it’s good motivation! They should do it monthly.”
Mr. Baldwin plans to reward students with a treat every quarter as both an incentive and an appreciation for hard work.
