The CAYA volleyball team defeated the homeschooling Chattanooga Patriots on the night of October 14 inside CA’s gym.  The Lady Eagles took only three sets to put away the Patriots and finished the season with a win.
Though the Eagles still have two upcoming tournaments, one at Union and one at CA, their regular season ended Monday night.  When asked about the Eagles’ season as a whole, junior Gabby Fowler said that the team “definitely improved a lot,” and as the season continued they worked better as a team.   Their teamwork was apparent as they efficiently picked apart the Patriots with good passing and excellent serving.  Though at times the Patriots gave the Eagles a run for their money, the game never seemed out of hand for the Eagles who remained calm and collected.
The team will travel to Union College on Wednesday, October 16 for an annual volleyball tournament, which CAYA won last year.  Following Union is a tournament in CA’s Gymnasium that will conclude CAYA volleyball for this school year
