The CAYA Eagles volleyball team cruised to a win in the first game of the year against Tennessee Christian Preparatory School.  They won in straight sets on the 20^th of August at Tennessee Christian’s home court in Cleveland, Tenn.

A volleyball game has five sets; the first team to win three – by scoring 25 points – is the winner.  The team won easily, boosted by senior Kaylin Cowan’s fourteen serves in a row.

Though the game was an easy win for the Eagles, a victory is a great way to start off the year.

One of the Eagle’s juniors, Taylor Schepers, believes this team has a lot of potential, and with juniors making up most of the team, next year’s team holds promise too. Even after a win these eagles can only get better.

The volleyball team has upcoming matches on the 22^nd, 27^th and 29^th.
