Seniors Unite at Senior Dedication
On August 16, 2013, seniors, parents and faculty gathered in the
Collegedale Academy auditorium for the senior dedication and pinning.
This event not only brought the senior class together but also united
the class with the faculty, the parents and the rest of the school.
During the ceremony, Mr. Baldwin, Senior Class President Savannah Moore and
Mrs. Moore lit candles symbolizing the unity of the CA’s administration and faculty, the senior
class and the parents in their dedication to God.
Then, each senior had their opportunity to walk across the stage,
receive a Collegedale Academy pin from Mr. Baldwin and find their
parents in the audience. Parent then presented their seniors with the pin and prayed with them.
For many seniors, the evening was a preview of what this year is going
to be like.
“When all the seniors were together and taking pictures, I
caught a glimpse of what I want senior year to be like,” senior
Lauren Waegele said, “It is going to be exciting to see everyone pull
together and be a family.”
Others feel the rising class spirit and hope the dedication to each other and God will spread to the other classes.
“I feel like the seniors set the tone for everyone else, and
I want to be a good example for the other students,” Waegele said.
Senior Ryan Glantz adds, “I believe our class has a lot of potential.
. . . I am excited to see what lies ahead for our class and for our
school.
