God Wants and Loves You

In this day and age, having confidence proves an ongoing challenge. Social media such as Instagram and Snapchat portray anorexic models and extremely muscular men as beautiful and attractive. These influences can be detrimental to our confidence. But what we must realize is that it does not matter what people on Earth think—God’s love for us is what truly matters.

The creator of the universe made us and gave us freedom of choice. Even though sin has corrupted this world, God will come back a second time to save his beloved people. Why would he want to save us if we weren’t important?

Furthermore, Christ died for us. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (NIV). God did not give his second son but his one and only son. This means that he gave up what is most precious to him for us. We are worth everything to God and he loves and cares for us so much that he gave up what was most important to him so that we may live in eternal happiness with Him.
