Happy Little Life: Bird Watching

Madison Reinschmidt, writer

Whether it is sunny, rainy, or snowy, when I go outside there are always birds chirping and singing. No matter what mood I’m in, the cheery songs instantly make my day better. Listening to the different calls of the chickadees and cardinals is an easy way to connect with nature and God.

During Winter break, I was able to snap some pictures of the birds. Just by hanging out with the birds for half an hour out of my day brought me peace of mind. I remembered what God says about the sparrows and how much more important we are to Him.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew 10: 29-31

Take a moment out of your day to listen to the birds sing and remember how much God cares for you.
