Fall Festival promises fun, food, and fellowship
October 5, 2016
Due to this summer’s extremely hot temperatures, fall is welcomed with open arms.
This is the time of year for pumpkin everything, sweaters, plaid shirts, and best of all the SA Fall Festival.
For many CA students, Fall Festival ranks near the top of anticipated school events.
Sophomore Kaylin Chung, who has never been to Fall Festival, says that she’s “heard good things about the past [festivals]” so she’s “looking forward to attending.”
This unique Collegedale Academy tradition encompasses the love of food, competition, and fun all in one place that also acts as a fundraiser for classes, extra-curriculars, and clubs. Everybody has fun and everybody wins (unless you’re at the pie eating contest, of course).
This year, there are several events that are sure to draw the masses. Along with a plethora of games and activities such as hayrides, a jail, pumpkin painting, and a polaroid photo booth, a crowd favorite, the marriage booth, is making its return this year as a fundraiser for the senior class.
Also, be sure to look out for the wide range of food choices including crepes, popcorn, chili, grilled cheese, cookies, and more.
You’ll have to come see what all the hype is about this Sunday, October 9, at 5 p.m. and enjoy the delightfully chilly weather and have an incredible time.
