Let God carry the load
October 4, 2016
With the long list of responsibilities that we have to deal with in our daily lives, feeling overwhelmed comes easily.
We are expected to focus on grades, homework, chores, sports, social lives, parents, and future plans — all while getting a reasonable amount of sleep.
I think that all of us students can agree that our jobs are not simple, and it’s easy to get stressed out.
Sometimes, when I get so overwhelmed with everything that I need to do, I just wish there was someone that I could lean on, someone that could help carry the weight on my shoulders and give me some relief. In all my anxiousness I often forget that there is.
Psalm 55:22 (MSG) states, “Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders- he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin.”
God will always be there to help us out, no matter what situations we are in. So, next time you feel like you’re stretched beyond your limits, talk to God, and let Him relieve some of your stress. I assure you, doing so will make your day much easier.
