Who gives?

Julien Magloire, writer

Wouldn’t life be so much easier if people stopped caring so much? If we stopped worrying what people thought of us?

Rather than acting like someone we’re not, we just need to be ourselves.

Living up to the status quo tends to be difficult; one must do this and that. Who gives!

Once we stop worrying about people’s opinions of us, life becomes more freeing and enjoyable. Stress and anxiety dissipate. By dwelling on the judgements of others we lose focus on what’s important: enjoying life and making the most of every second. If we allow others to change who we are; we’ve lost.

If we stop stressing ourselves out about trivial matters—such as what others think of our friend groups, lifestyle, and popularity—and begin to give our trials to God, a burden will be removed from our backs. Obviously this is easier said than done, but we must learn not to live for others but rather live for ourselves and God.

Paul writes in Philippians, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God.”
