Nerves were definitely on edge on August 11 as students auditioned for the school musical.

The musical this year at CA is Suessical The Musical, a musical primarily based on several popular Dr. Seuss books including “Horton Hears A Who,” “Horton Hatches the Egg,” and “Miss Gertrude McFuzz.”

Auditions were held in front of teachers including Mrs. Stone, Mrs. Holland and CA’s choral director Miss Bishop.

Students were both excited and nervous about this new musical and the auditions that followed.

“I just think that this musical is going to be really fun. I’ve seen some of the videos from the musical and I’m really excited,” sophomore Hope Hunnicutt, who has yet to audition for the musical, said.

“I think that getting up on stage and acting is going to be super fun and I’m also super excited. I was definitely nervous for the auditions because they were a little different in that there were a couple teachers sitting in on auditions instead of one,” sophomore Sarah Hasel, who has already auditioned for the musical, said.
