Happy Little Life: Go for a picnic

Devin Vaudreuil, writer

Picnics are extremely underrated.

Not too long ago, I could go to a park and see families and teens with their friends hanging out on a patch of grass or under the trees. Now, I go to parks and they’re empty, save for a few people here and there.

Personally, I’ve always enjoyed picnics. They bring people together outside where there’s room to run around, throw a Frisbee or football, or just sit and chat with friends and family.

It’s early summer, the perfect time to visit a park, and if you don’t have enough people to go with you, there’s always joy and peace in going alone with a small lunch and a really great book to read in the sun.
