Major Leaguer Kershaw strikes out nine as Lookouts lose
Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitcher and two-time Cy Young Award Winner Clayton Kershaw struck out nine Wednesday night as the Chattanooga Lookouts lost 4-3 to the Tennessee Smokies. Kershaw threw 86 pitches in 5 innings.
Kershaw is rehabbing from a strained upper back and is making the rounds in minor league systems. His appearance Wednesday night for the Lookouts, who are owned by the dodgers, drew a sellout crowd of over 6,000 people. Many people showed up to the game hours before the scheduled 7:15 p.m. pitch time. He is certainly one of the most high profile and talented players to ever play in a Lookouts’ uniform.
