‘Nader Season

Last week, a colossal tornado thrashed through Oklahoma. The tornado destroyed suburbs, churches, hospitals and schools.

On the enhanced Fujita scale it was rated an EF5 and tore down a path about 17 miles long and 1 mile wide.

With all of these tornados in surrounding states, many fears have arisen over the possibility of another monumental storm in the Chattanooga area similar to the one in 2011. Of course most cautions are taken on a whim, but are the civilians of Chattanooga prepared for an occurrence of that degree?

Students and parents alike should begin to take precautions and be ready in the event that a catastrophic storm were to sweep through Collegedale or other outlying towns. Take time to watch the news, create a plan, and to be ready for the worst.
